Wheel backspacing
I'm wondering what the backspacing is on my 76' vette and what wheel i should get for it. I'm like the pro star wheels from Weld Racing. They have all different sizes and shapes. What front wheels and rear wheels would you guys recommend to make the car look like it has a nice stance while not interfeering with the body (ie rubbing and what not)? And also, what tires would go nicely with them? My tax return is coming back soon and I plan on having some fun with it. :D

Re: Wheel backspacing (xfactor974)
Stock size is 8" wide with 4" backspace. I think you can get Pro Stars in that configuration. I (personally) wouldn't put anything bigger than a 275 on those rims. Probably 255 actually.

Would the Pro Stars require a spacer? I bought Scorpions - 8x16x4.5 - from Centerline with no spacers. I put the ZR1 BF Goodriches on 255x50x16. They stand 25.5" high and don't fill the fender well up as much as some would like. Whatever you get, have them fit up first, if possible, before buying.
