Default AC/ heater door adjustment

Another problem discovered! :D
I took out the resistor mounted on the top of the evaporator case, shined a flashlight in and noticed that the ac/heat door does not fully close.
The door appears to be controlled by the right side thumbwheel on the console.
How do I adjust the cable that controls the door to allow it to shut and open fully?

Thanks!

Marc..... Take the console plate off but do not remove the heat/AC control. The cable's outer sleeve is clamped to the control panel at the forward right corner. You may be able to adjust it by loosening the clamp, re-position the thumbwheel to give more travel and tighten the clamp. The other end of the cable at the door is similar. I have always been able to do it at the control panel. It is somthing you just have to play around with it to get it right.
