Nope you'll need the shift rods too... they come in an installation kit... be sure you order the proper kit for your trans. Different years and difffernt model trans' (M20-M21 (early and later) all use differnt installation kits...

Do you already have the shifter? I have a "normal" hurst on mine now, that I am replacing with a hurst V-Gate shifter in the next couple weeks, and i have the later model type rods with it (my transmission is not original). I was planning on putting it up on ebay once the v-gate is installed, but if you are interested, let me know.

I'd recommend getting the stock looking shifter handle that bolts to the Hurst shifter. Keeps the car stock looking and also the Hurst handle that comes with the shifter is too tall in my opinion.

Nope, not too late at all. You can buy the stock appearance shifter handle through Eckler's and Mid America. I think it's $89. You have to buy it seperate even if you buy the Comp. shifter new. Of course, if you're going to get it, you'll probably want it before you complete the installation. Might as well try to find it when you're looking for the rods.
