What carburetor came standard on the '77, L-48? Did they make different ones for L-48's?

Thanks

Pretty sure the Rochester Q (quadra) - jet was the only one.

It's about time you put fuel injection on that thing isn't it Larry :yesnod:

Most all the sharks came with the Q-jet (exceptions like the LT1 of 70-72, the 350 hp engines of 68/69, and the CrossFire of 82) which was basicly the same 750 cfm carb. Differences were internal; jets, metering rods, etc.

vettecor -
Several carb numbers were used in 1977 on the Corvette. Naturally, all of them were Q-Jets. Here is the breakdown:

The following carb numbers were used on 1977 Chevrolet, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Camaro, Nova, Corvette, and El Camino with the 350 engine:

17057202 (Federal, all non-A/C auto trans)
17057204 (Federal all A/C auto trans)
17057502 (Calif. all non-A/C auto trans)
17057504 (Calif. all A/C auto trans)
17057582 (Hi Altitude non A/C auto trans)
17057584 (Hi Altitude all A/C Auto trans)

These carbs were jetted (in order listed):
77, 77, 72, 72, 72, 72

Primary metering rods, in order listed were:
52, 52, 41, 41, 41, 41

The other series of carbs used in 1977 were used only on Camaro, Nova, and Corvette with the 350 engine. These carbs were:

17057203 (Federal Camaro, Nova, Corvette non A/C Man. Trans)
17057210 (Federal Corvette High Perf. non A/C)
17057211 (Federal Corvette High Perf. A/C non A/C)
17057228 (Federal Corvette A/C auto trans)

These carbs were jetted (in order listed):
77, 77, 77, 77

Primary metering rods, in order listed were:
52, 53, 53, 53

So, you see, you have quite a few possibilities for a '77 Vette.....

Let me know if you need further info.
