Back in 77, I had a set of those on my 75 el Camino.
They lasted quite a long time. The holes in the sheild work fine as a heat sink

They may not be Hookers, but they do look nice. Are they the JC Whitney's? What all did you have to do to hook them up to your ramsheads?

JB I have Hugger headers on the car. I added a 90 pipe and collectors. I purchased them from a fellow forum member (Tisquick) I don`t know what kind they are.
Alwyn678 They have quieted the car down a lot, I previously just had headers 3' of pipe and dual tips. Now that sounded good."LOUD" The side pipes actually are very quiet.

They look cool!
I almost went the DynoMax route myself.
Doesn't matter what they cost - very nice!

Before I jumped off the horsepower cliff, I had those Dynomax sidepipes on my car, with a modified Crossfire motor. Other than the reduced ground clearance, I liked them alot. They have a good sound and the shield doesn't get hot enough to burn you if you or your passenger forget to step out.
Looks cool!

76Red - your car has the best of all worlds... Aero style from the late models, Stingray body with the suger scoup, and now side pipes like the early models!

CarlinLA: It is actually the C6  But don't tell anyone. :D
It is definately retro. Nobody that has come up to me has got the year of the car right Most people say 81 right... When I say 76 they look at me funny
What I like is C3 and C4 owners look 2-3 times when they see it.
Thanks for the complements guy's it really means a lot coming from people that have such awsome looking cars. I hope to paint this soon,, as soon as I get the last few gremlins out of it.
Thanks
Bob

Wish I could go "side pipes" - but the O2 sensor for my EFI wouldn't heat up enough with side pipes.
BTW - All sharks look great with sidepipes..
