1999 Suburban Vortec 5.7
The motor mounts are the same it will bolt into my 74 vette.
But how about the rest of it? Does anyone else know if there would be any un-seen hangups about installing this motor?
I am currently using a M21 and I would like to keep it a manual.

Are you getting the engine for free? That is not a very powerful engine for the Vette. You will need the computer and O2 sensors and a speed sensor. You will also need to replace the flywheel because that engine is externally balanced. Probably doesn't have a hole in the block for your clutch . You will also need a high pressure fuel pump. I would sell the engine and buy a crate engine.

You'll need the correct computer of course, engine wiring harness (painless makes a good one), That engine will need 2 oxygen sensors ( or a bypass). You may have to do some fabricating to get your accessories to work, but otherwise it will be pretty straight forward.

With a little work I could get the power up.. Although I am more worried about clearances? the AirCleaner is fairly tall on this motor...

Yes that motor has lots of power. In my 97 with dual exhaust and K&N intake kit it can hit 300 HP. If I recall correctly they were rated at 275HP by GM.
