Cut metal brackets etc. Up to 12 guage or so. I will have the compressor, so what typ of tool and cut-off wheel works the best for free hand work?
I'm ready to spend money!!!! :D

If it were me I would go with a plasma cutter at around $1800, I have a 4 inch electric grinder and a pneaumatic cut-off and die grinder for smaller jobs and a Millwaukee portable deep cut band saw for pipe and bar type steel. Not sure what else is out there.

Here's the one I bought, only is came as a combo grinder/drill. The grinder head on mine easily switches to a drill chuck. I use it a lot as a right angle drill and cut off tool.

70 Stingray,
Thanks for the info, but I couldn't get your link to work? Anxious to see what you got.

I just tried it and it was working. Try http://www.Harborfreight.com and do a search for air tools and then grinders.

Okay, not that much money!!! Specifically I'm looking at pneaumatic cut-off and die grinders unless there's something else in that price range that I'm unaware of that will do the job. A band saw is possibly down the road.
Please give me brand and spec recommendations.

Follow up post to those who didn't see my other topic. Forum member MIKER offered to help and he cut my brackets for me with a plasma cutter. Pretty cool. Thanks again Mike! :D

Looks like Harbor Freight has a plasma cutter for 1/3 of the above quote. $600 is not bad for this I don't think.
