Default rocker panel molding

I'm about to install hooker side pipes and wanted to verify if I needed to remove the chrome rocker panel molding before the install.

I've seen this done both ways, where people will leave them off completely, and some people I've seen will carefully "notch out" the panels where the side pipe extensions bolt to the frame. The latter way, if done neatly is a more finished look.

Robovet. I don't think you could put on the headers anyway with the rockers still on the car. Like Paul said you have to notch them to fit the primarys tubes before it gets to the collector. My rockers are really in great shape, and I'm not about to do any cutting on them. Will probably make some from stainless or aluminum. JCL   :chevy " Sidepipes are the way"
