I've never shipped anything this big. Where do you get a big enough box? And will UPS ship something this big, and will they come pick it up, or do I have to drag this bugger into the local Mailbox Etc.? If UPS won't do it, how to I arrange to have it freighted. Questions, questions.

Many suggest using Greyhound....very carefull and good prices.
I have two to sell and need to talk to them to see what they will run for pricing. I guess they will also do the packaging for a small price.

Greyhound is the way. Really reasonable $$$ and quick response time. And they dont beat the sh#@ out the packages either. Only caveat is that you must drop it off at the nearest terminal and the buyer must pick up at his/her nearest terminal. Check out http://www.shipgreyhound.com.

Re: What's the best way to ship a hood? (ddn)
Anybody know of a good way to ship where I don't have to schlep the thing down to a bus station tied to the roof of my car? UPS, for one, won't pick up at a residence unless I send 2nd day air or better, and I know that's going to be way too expensive.
If I can't get around having to take it down to the station, sounds like Grayhound's the way to go.
