Hood is painted and on!
I am happy with the fit and paint match. Depending on the light/angle it matchs perfect or a little off. My color changes colors from deep blue to blue/violet color as it is. Plus the paint on the car is at least 10 years old.
Let me know what you guys think. I highly recommend the guys at East Coast in Manassas, VA. Easy to deal with and delivered when promised.

Looks good. Those friggin side tones will give you fits trying to match up colors. The only option would have been to blend over the fenders and clear the whole front. Hey, from the looks of it, if you'd just bolt the hood on backwards... presto! :p:

The orig color is Dark Met Blue. The repaint has a violet in it depending on the way you are looking at it.
I picked up the hood from Vancour at the Carlisle show last year. I only paid $325 for it new. The body shop said that that was a pretty good deal and that they have to work any hood even original hoods to make them fit correctly. They cut the "ears" or ends off and lowered them so they would match the fenders.

Can you give me a point of contact and a phone number, I'm getting one too! I need room for an RPM Air Gap and there is NO WAY the stock hood will work I'm told. Can you post some pics of the underside.....and your air cleaner set up??? Thanks!

I haven't done anything to the underside yet. I have the factory air cleaner on right now. I think I will leave it alone until next winter. I will probably pick up the air box at the Carlisle show this summer.

Re: Hood is painted and on! (Rob's 73)
Rob that looks incredible, I want to get a big block hood like all the rest to get that extra height so the intake can go up. That was a very good price on that hood I'll have to check into it. Maybr there will be a LT-1 hood up for sale to defray the cost a bit?, any offers?
Very nice color also
