I think there's a lock up solenoid somewhere on/in the transmission with a wire running to. I can't say where though, i'm no th350 expert. TH350 lock up's first came in Corvette's in 1980 if that helps. If your car does really have one you'd know it because you's see and hear the converter lock, unless ofcourse the lockup function isn't working.

If it started in '80 then I don't have one, With trying to figure out why my rpms are so high and gearing so low, my friend asked if maybe my lockup wasn't working, and we weren't sure if I even had one or not, so best place to find out is here!!
