Do I need new rod bolts ?
I'm doing a basic rebuild of my 327 large journal engine (350 size).
Boring 0.30 new forged pistons new bearings.
Cam will be edelbrock performer 2102. Might put on some mild
super charger 6-9 psi too. Will probably seldeom see 5500 rpm.
Will the the old stock rod bolts do or do I need to put in ARP wawelock bolts ? The bolts them self isn't expensive but some people says the rods need resizing when changing bolts (i can't se why) the current bolts are quite
loose I can press them out of the rods with my thumbs. Does ARP bolts fit thighter thereby needing resizing afterwards ? Cant I just heat the rods and shill the bolts ?

You should always at least use new rod bolts as torqueing(sp) stretches bolts slightly. It is CHEAP insurance.
