[INFO] Rear Gear Ratios for 78 Corvettes.
L-48 Auto: 3.08 std for federal. No option.
3.55 for all California Emissions cars and High Altitude (above 4000 feet) cars.
L-48 MM4: 3.36 std. No option.
L-82 Optional motor: 3.55 standard for THM-350.
MM4: 3.70 ratio standard, 3.36 optional.
M21(optional 4-speed): 3.70 standard, no optional ratio.
The L-82 was not available in Maryland, Florida, Oregon, Washington, nor in certain areas of Massachusetts and OF COURSE, California. :(
Ah well. This was taken from the MVMA specs. Also interesting to note is that it marks "D" for exhaust system, standing for "dual". Though this is indicative of 2-1-2 exhaust, it may be a useable loophole.
