Default Mechanical Help Please (Car Cutting Out)

I went racing for the first time today. After about the third session, I noticed it had dropped power and was acting as if it was cutting out or misfiring throughout the RPM band. Did I lose a cyclinder, timing, valve train?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, just a thought but check your distributor. Sometimes the distributor hold down bolt loosens from the vibration of the engine. When the bolt loosens the plate that keeps pressure on your distributor so that it doesn't move also moves. When there is no pressure on the distributor to keep it from moving, the distributor is free to move in whichever direction it choosens.

Check that out and let us know
