Default Carpet Help Needed!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the carpet in the back on the sides to take the right shape? I seems to not want to take the contours of the fiberglass.

Help

Warm it up. My wife bought me a halogen work lite. Floor model, really bright and hot. Almost too much to work with. But I put it in the middle of the rear cargo area, and pointed it towards the sides for about ten minutes and the carpet layed down better.

Just be careful. Man that thing gets hot. Tried a hair dryer first, ( hers, not mine ) but had better results with the light.

Start from the bottom and glue it down. Use some 3M spray adhesive, and from the bottom up glue her down. That's how I did mine and it looks great.

The heat procedure should work.. also, if your carpet came with padding glued to it, you could score through the padding at the bends to help it lay flat. Did that on mine.. worked! :yesnod:
