That's not quite what I was after.

That power sound.

Not a leak!

You mean a lope?

The only tick from mine is the Mixture Control Solinoid. (It's normal.)

The headers do give you a tinny sound. Kind of like a tick tick but in a good way. I don't think that you can hear the difference between a solid lifter cam and a hydraulic.

Larry--you are most likely referring to a solid lifter motor. Solid lifter cams are set up to deliver higher RPM's without lifter float. We always ran them in the cars we raced and if you could not hear them they were adjusted too tight. They require a lot of adjustment so i would stay away from them for the daily driver. These cams also usually run pretty strong lift & duration which require all of the other goodies to get max performance.

If you want to get a nice lope, get a cam with a 110LCA and a good lift .470-.480 and about 260-275 durration. But I read that 112 is about as tight as you want to go with fuel injection.

BIG cams, headers and strait pipes are what everyone needs...

Ground pounders galore. :chevy
