new headers coming ...what to get ready for??!!!
Hey everyone. I have my Dynomax ceramic-coated headers  coming from jegs. Also ordered the ac bracket and this should come with reducers and gaskets. Im thinking of going with header studs when I install. What should I be ready for when I install these??? I think Im gonna go with true duals all the way back when I get to the muffler shop. :smash: Any advice from all of you who have already done this would help!!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

Nicholas-
I put the Dynomax on my car while I was doing a head swap, and ran into no problems. A couple of recommendations- don't use the gaskets that Dynomax provides. They are cheap paper ones, and you'll be much happier with good gaskets. I put a new 2.5 inch exhaust system on my car and was VERY surprised at how much some local shops wanted to charge. I wound up going to my local wrench turner who also does great exhaust work, and he made me a great deal. One way I kept costs down was that I bought the mufflers myself, and gave them to the shop to put on.
Oh yeah, one more thing to expect- you'll probably burn your finger at least once on the headers while you are putting the inductive clamp to your timing light on the #1 spark plug wire.
Good luck and enjoy!

Don't forget to soak the heck out of your current exhaust manifold bolts with WD40 or some other penetrant. It will make it a lot easier to get the old bolts loose when you're ready to put them on. As others have said, definitely use better gaskets then the elcheapos that come with the headers. Good luck!

I can't remember if my dynomax headers use round or square exhaust gaskets? I'm going to change over to stage 8 locking header bolts with premium soft metal gaskets to rid myself of these darn leaks.
