Strictly a guess, but I'd say around 3000-3100, maybe slightly less. Definitely the right approach. Light cars require much less HP to wup on the heavy ones!

I would guess you have dropped 150 lbs. added up the parts.
Go get it weighed at a trash transfer station or truck weight station.

Lost it...
You know I weighed all that stuff on my car and wrote it down but now I can't seem to find it  .
I can kind of remember though, here's some guesses:
Aluminum Heads 80lbs
Aluminum Intake 20lbs
Aluminum Water Pump 10lbs
Aluminum Radiator 15lbs
VB Max Suspension w/ Firberglass Front and Rear Springs 40lbs for rear spring, I don't have the front springs

Bryan. A good guess also would be 150-200lbs. A little here, and a little there, it all adds up when your ( VETTE'S) on a DIET. Have you started that "383" yet? JCL   :chevy " Sidepipes are the way".

Yeah 200-300 sounds about right. I am about a week off from starting this puppy. It is killing me. Just tying to get everything done on the outside and interior kinda working my way in.

Indirectly related. . .
Yesterday, I put all four of my brake calipers into a box so that I can ship them to vettepartsonline.com for exchange. I was amazed at the total weight. I have not weighed the box for shipping yet but it is relatively HEAVY!. Aluminum calipers would be a big help especially since it is unsprung weight.
I can now imagine the potential benefit realized by the C4 and C5 due to the aluminum control arms, aluminum calipers, etc.

One way to find out for sure what you weigh is to drive up to a truck stop and pay to have it weighed. I dont think it costs too much. Another way I have done it for free is to pull into line at the local landfill. When its my turn, I stop at the window, look at the reading on the display, wave thanks and drive off the scale.

Replacing stock Rally wheels with late C3 alum wheels cuts about 7 lbs per wheel. Replacing OE starter with GM mini starter cuts about 15 lbs.

When it comes to unsprung weight such as calipers, wheels, tires (a 255/45/17 has GOT to weigh less than a 255/60/15 - less sidewall) and control arms you can multiply by 4. So if your stock calipers weigh 10lbs (not sure what they actually weigh but would like to know) and you go to Wilwoods at 2.5 lbs, there is a 7.5 lb actual loss but a 30lb effective loss! Do all four corners and that is a 120lb effective loss!
I'm not sure but I think my 17 inch aluminum wheels weigh about as much as my 15 in ralley wheels.
So says all my handling and brake books!
As far as the radiator, I wonder if the core support for a full size radiator weighs less than the core support for the tine small block no AC radiator. And don't forget the shroud and fan if you go with electric fans. And it may be small, but a 2" k&n with the filter top weighs less than the stock dual snorkel unit.

Re: How Much Wieght Have I Lost ? (MIKER)
I just weighed the box containing the four calipers. I used the "standing on a bathroom scale" method just for quick reference. The un-official weight was ~47 lbs.
EDIT: I shipped the 4 calipers via UPS on 2-15-02. The official shipping weight was 49.88 lbs.
