Curious smell after making a hard right...
Coming off a certain freeway offramp, if I cut through the corner just right, my car makes a rather nauseous smell. Smells something like burnt oil/ catalytic converter smell. Motor's new, cat's new.
It only does it on this right hand corner, rated at 15 mph I believe, and I take it at 35-40. Usually cut into the right lane and slide out after the apex of the corner. What causes this smell? EGR valve? I believe it has something to do with the fact that I'm pulling a decent G. (Nothing crazy, but noticeable.)

The smell you described sounds like burning power steering fluid. Might want to check the level on p/s pump, if low start looking for leaks under the car. My guess would be that a little fluid is squirting when you make right turns and when you are moving faster it is getting blown onto exaust system. (as opposed to backing out of a parking space or going around a corner.)
This is pure guess, I have no idea how the Corvette p/s system works. Hope it helps though.

i dont knwo much about this topic, but have you checked the clearance betweem the wheel and the frame? i couldnt see your rims, the wheels that came with my car are not original and i can see rub marks on the frame. just a thought :)

I'd check P/S, and tranny fluid. I had a tranny cooling line start leaking, and it did the same thing.

I got one you may not have heard of but it happens more than you think
a bad master cylinder by passing fluid in to the booster under hard right turns
the fluid is sucked into the manifold and burned you would most likely see a small puff of smoke out the tail pipe but it sounds like your hands might be full
with all that high speed cornering but you would maybe smell it. I've seen it in solo 1/2 racing

How much side-support do your seats have? Maybe you are leaning over too far in the turn and... well... you know.. (passing gas)?? :)
Could also be a few drops of oil getting on the exhaust system somewhere.
