What's the max HP/Torque I can expect to produce with Stamped Rockers?
My '80 is producing approx 235.7hp at 4500rpm and 311.4ftlbs torque at 2650rpm. I'm contemplating the addition of Dart Iron Eagle 180cc heads and a par of 1 5/8" Hedman or Dynomax headers.
The question is: will my stamped steel long slot rockers impose a noticable ceiling on the amount of hp/torque I can produce after adding the heads/headers? I already have added a 272H Energizer cam, true duals, Edelbrock Performer intake, rebuilt Q-jet, and new Accell perf replacement distributor (as well as rebuilding the engine, installing 700R4 with 1800stall converter, and increasing rear gears to 3.54 ratio. Would really like to see flywheel hp numbers closer to 275-300 with torque numbers approaching 350-375ft lbs.
Would the stamped rockers be a limitation?

Just my humble opinion but I think roller rockers are overrated, like to see a real world HP test to with rollers and without in same engine, probably a couple of HP difference. :D
If someone comes up with some real numbers that show different I will gadly put the rollers on my new Sprotsman II heads

Why not use something like Comp Cams 1.52 roller tip rockers? More accurate and stronger than stamped stock rockers....

No. Your setup is good for 320+ & 375+. Stock rockers will handle much more.
