1970 hood question
Hi all,
Making last minute checks before I tear my Vette down. Still hung up on the motor parts. I have the stock 1970 hood on the car. I would like to go with a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake w/750 Holley. I know this is super tight under the stock hood, but will it clear a 454 BIG BLOCK hood from 1970? NOT THE L-88 hood, I know that will work but I don't want to go that big. ANYONE KNOW IF THE 1970 BIG BLOCK hood has more clearance to fit this setup? Any suggestions would be great, I have everything else. Pics coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you know the LT-1 engine was offered in 1970. Since the LT-1 has an aluminum higher than stock manifold and a holley card and the stock LT-1 hood is the same as a big block hood I would think it would fit fine.

You need a drop base filter & at least 3/4" above float bowl vents.
