Who has line lock installed?
Does any one have pics of thier install? I am curious to see them for ideas. I just bought the Hurst model. My car is an automatic, and I don't like the switch on the shifter rod, anyone have any other ideas where to put the switch? I am worried about hitting the switch by accident when moving the shifter or resting my hand on the shifter while driving.

I've seen some kits with a loose button on a wire, It hangs in the holder until you use it , then you just hold it in your hand and hit it when need be.
I havn't used it because I have a N.O.S. shifter with a button on the side.
Maybe thats an idea ?

I stuck my switch in the ash tray. That way you can't see it until I go racing. I just slide the door back and the switch is there. Slight reach but OK for burnouts.

Gordonm: That is a most excellent idea! It is not that much of a reach, and it would be hidden until needed....I love it, that is where I will put it and the indicator light! Maybe I will even use the lighter body as the switch to really fool people!!
Thanks dude!

Re: Who has line lock installed?
I havent installed my line lock yet... But I'm going to be looking into using my horn. Kinda Cool huh??? A friend of mine suggested it.
Supposedly all I need to do is put a swich in line so when I'm at the track, I'll flip the switch to deactiveate the horn and activate the line lock. Tap the horn button to lock the front wheels and then tap it again to release them. When I leave the track I'll flip the switch back the other way to turn the horn back on and turn the line lock off.
Cool idea.... if it works!!!! If it dosent (or if it takes more work than it's worth) I'll be installing it in the ashtray as Gordon did.
I'll let you know!!!

Line locks if activated by mistake while driving along will NOT turn the brakes off to the front wheels. You can be rolling along , hit the line lock and then touch the brakes and they pressure will still go through to the front brakes. It will not release them but it will still stop.
Also as for using the horn you need a constant supply of power to the line lock so unless you are using a smart relay you would need to hold the horn on constantly.
I also used my linelock to get rid of the proportioning valve. This is one of the best things I did for my brakes.

You obviously arn't wearing a 5 point harness!
When I have the harness cinched down there is NO WAY I could reach the ashtray, I aint goin nowhere...
It's gotta be on the shifter for me...
As far as the horn button, I just KNOW the first burnout of the day I'd have forgotten to flip the switch and would be honking like an idiot:bb
