Rain Coat frames-have pics!
If anyone has a place to store/post the pictures I just took 6 pretty good digitals of the Rain Coat t-top frames. I took upper and lower pictures of the front and rear latches, center hinge, and entire frame. If you can get these posted just email me and I'll get them to you so everyone can see them.

You have e-mail. Are these "Rain Coat" from Eckler's or "Raincoats" from Corvette America. The former is a registered trademark of the Fox Corporation. The latter seems to be just a descriptor.

You both have email. These are pictures of the metal frames, I thought people who don't have them or never seen them might like to see what we are talking about.

I hope I have the link right. How does the vinyl/canvas attach to the frames you have shown?
I will try again, but piece by piece.

Re: Rain Coat frames-have pics! (paul79)
Paul,
The link worked for me. To get the material off the frames took a little effort, first trick is to get the velcro unhooked and keep it unhooked, then I would suggest folding the tops in half and try to work off the portion that would be to the front of the car, once that part is off the frame the rest will slide out. It was a PITA to get the first part off but that is the worst of it.
I gave mine a good cleaning today, adjusted the frames a bit (with a rubber mallet) so they would fit better and it seems this was $40 well spent. They might not be as good as $1200 glass tops but they sure will be handy in the summer.
Thanks for posting the pictures!

I really do appreciate your reply and your pics. Love this Forum for those who have the time and interest to participate in the various discussions and somtimes, debates. But - the proverbial But - your pics just demonstrate that the true t-top mounting system is not present in the latest products. I am tired of this type of thread and will not engage in one in future. BUT for those interested, here is the "real" thing. They are very nice....Good luck to All who seek these. They are a C3 blessing.

The pictures Paul has posted look just like the AMTop frames that I have. Hope the new version fits better than mine. I have had to cut and weld the frames to lengthen and shorten as needed to fit my Corvette. :smash: :smash:

Re: Rain Coat frames-have pics! (C3 Shark Tank)
As you can see by the number of posts I have made, I am new to Corvette Forum. I was just curious, I thought this forum was to try and help Vette enthusiats. The last post by Paul79 seems rather hostile. I only tried to say that Corvette America may have tops without velcro. Paul79 seems to be saying I have these great tops and you don't. How does that help?

Shark Tank...
I'm glad you posted that. That pic of the "good" top sure looks like it has the same mounts as the bare frame to me. Thought maybe I was the only one who couldn't see a difference!

Paul:
The picture of your tops looks identical to my AMtops, and the frame pictures look identical to the frame on my AMtops. No velcro holding down the front or rear.
I have never seen any folding fabric T-Tops that use the EXACT same mounting method as the factory tops.
