So I have decided to go the 350 ho route for my 68, MT, small block car with Hooker sidepipes. This is intended to be a fun driver and not a drag shark. No AC or power steering....I know hood clearance will be a problem. My initial problems/questions are:
1) Intake - Edelbrock performer? still looks pretty tall
2) Carb - the little Holley as on ho deluxe would be OK, driver only, simple
3) distributer - something basic, again simple
4) starter - a new one
I would not mind an odd shape air cleaner assembly for hood clearance sake. Thanks for any suggestions!

You should be fine, I am putting the same intake in my 72 sb next month and do not forsee any clearance probs. BTW what type of wheels are those, they look great.

The wheels are American Racing 200S with BFG 255's.

I sent Holley an e-mail a couple of days ago, asking them how high that air cleaner stuck up above the air horn, but I have not heard from them yet.
