Manual 3-speed transmission in a C3?
Looking through my '70 owners manual, it talks about a standard 3-speed manual tranny, but my option listing says a 4-speed wide ratio was standard. Was that an option that never materialized? Any manual 3-speeds out there? If they are, they're certainly rare!

Re: Manual 3-speed transmission in a C3? (RMVette)
I know that '68 and '69 had a 3 speed manual as std for base models, although they are pretty rare. I don't think that there were any '70 models made with 3 speed transmissions. I have the 70 - 72 NCRS Judging Manual and there is no mention of a 3 speed transmission.
There may be a chance that the owner's manual for '70 utilized information carried over from the '69 model year and that info was overlooked.

According to the Corvette Black Book, there were 336 cars made in 1968 and 252 made in 1969 with the 3 Speed manual transmission. What were those people thinking???
