Default Project update with pics

Got myself the Tremec 3550 from Fortes yesterday. Talked to Mike and he said the only difference is the output splines and he runs an 11 sec car with a 3550 so I think it will be good for me. Just got to figure out the bracket, driveshaft, and shifter issues.

Anyway, here are some pics I took earlier last week and I'll post some tranny pics soon.

Engine's newly clean home:

Core support after $90 weld job:

Freshly rebuilt engine:

And what Dyno2000 says it will do:

Looking good Steve! You are on your way. Hopefully I'll be able to scrape together some money in the near future to get myself a Tremec transmission. If you don't mind me asking why did you have to have your core support welded? Whenever I pulled mine out, the corner of it was rotted to hell so I sanded it down and bondo'ed it in (I know....call me bubba :) ).

Keep up the good work.

Sounds good.

BTW, my FE-7 steering is excellent- no need for R&P. There may be a diff. in the years.
