Default One last Vacum Connection hose connection question on a 1969?

I'm pretty close to having all of my new vacum lines routed and connected.
I have one vacum line that I was hoping someone could help me identify.
This is the small vacum hose that comes though a single groument on the firewall. It comes out right below the electric wiper door switch on the firewall and is just a little to the right and below where the 3 vacum hoses come out for the wiper arm relay switch.
This hose goes back to where the center console heater/fresh air adjustment wheels are which is located in the center console above the shifter.
Does this line just need to be connected to a vacum source?
Any ideas?

This hose supplies the vacuum needed to actuate the doors for the ventilation (e.g. too switch form VENT to HEATER or DEFROST). It routes to the middle of the ventilation dial. By turning the LH dial, that vacuum is distributed to the respective actuators to change the ventilation.

The heater control (RH dial) is NOT vacuum controlled, it is a bowden cable which controls a door in the heater box.

Thank you very much.
I take it this then just needs to be connected to a good vacum source?
I think it may have originally been connected to a T off the manifold?
