I like that size for my 73s, it fills up the wheel well real nice. But the size is quite a bit wider then stock. Believe, but not sure, that stock would be close to either a 205 or 215/70/15.

Re: 1969 corvette (lbell101)
I have BFG 255/60/15s all around on my 69. Some have said they have clearance problems either with 255/60/15s on the front or 275/60/15s on the back. I had problems with the latter due to the Ebrake cable. If you relocate the braket and cable to the top of the trailing arm or go with offset trailing arms, you can go with the 275s on the rear. The 255s are just right with no mods since they are very close to stock height and won't affect your speedo accuracy.

I run both 255/60's and 275/60 on the back of mine ( the 275's are drag radials for racing), while the 275's are pretty tall they don't hit anything.
Oh, I do have offset trailing arms...

I have BF 255/60/R15s on all four corners of my 1980. They fit and look great. You will have to get your car aligned by someone who knows how to compensate for a wider tires if you go with larger than stock tires. The stock alignment specs will get it close but you may still have some handling problems.

With aftermarket wheels I can't run 245's on the front of our 1969. Am using 235's front and 245's rear BFG. Later year Sharks have larger wheel openings so they can run 255's.

I have 245/60R15 tires all the way around on mine. I'm thinking of going to the 255/60R15 size on the back and leaving the 245/60R15 on the front. I have stock wheels and wheel covers. Welcome to the forum.

Re: 1969 corvette (rainman69)
I put BF 255/60/R15s all around on my 69 recently. Ive had no problems with the install or since. They really beefed up the profile of my car, and are not so prone to break traction on launch. The 235's I replaced used to squeel allmost everytime Id leave in first gear or second if I wanted..
