Florida - where are the good speed shops to visit ???
Hello Forum members!
It seems like I will finally make my trip to Florida in march.
So I would appreciate if you can give me any "secret hints" for Vette places of interests and good Vette Shopping opportunities.
I already know the major vendors like Ecklerīs, Vette Brakes and Rogerīs, but what is of most interest for me is the little and smaller shops to visit or some forum members that would like to share experiences over the pond!
Every input would be appreciated!

I haven't been there myself but if I ever get near the state of Florida I would have to see Don Garlits muesum of drag racing in Ocala.

It depends on where in Florida you are. Certainly Rogers in Orlando. If you're in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, Classic Corvettes and Collectibles in Tarpon Springs is pretty good. There's also PJ's Autoworld in Clearwater.
P.S. The Tampa/St Pete area along with the Orlando Annex are the home of the Florida Misfits. I think we can probably put together some Vetters to hang out with for a few hours.

If you are in Sarasota Corvettes West is a great shop. He mainly does work on vettes but he's a a great guy. He's raced everything from Vettes to 1000+HP Offshore Power Boats.

In Kissimmee there's a place called old town where all of the vintage cars hang out. It's the place to go on the weekends and there are always Vette's out there. I would highly recommend you visit Orlando so I can have you over for some beers  and Vette talk. Like 79makol82 said, the Misfits hang out in Orlando and Tampa, so we can always round up a gang to hang with!!!! I hope you smuggle some of the great peach snapps over here with you :yesnod: "Babenhausen in the House!!!!!!!!" :jester

The Corvette Collection is a really good shop. Lots of older Vettes. I haven't been there in a year and a half, but when I was there they had a whole bunch of C1-C3's. They are in Pompano Beach Fl.
