Any problems with leaf type front spring conv.?
I was considering putting the leaf type front spring conversion kit from Ecklers
and was wondering if it really improves handleing or not and also if it hangs down too low under the front crossmember to cause problems, also any other
pros or cons.
Thanks SPOKE-

The main problem I had was shock selection. After trying a couple, I got Bilstein Sports from VB and now things are much better. Don't waste your time with other shocks.
Other facts are that the full range of adjustablilty doesn't change the spring rate that much and that the location does expose the spring to damage from road debris unlike the C4 which encloses the spring to protect it.
All in all, it's pretty cool. If I was doing it again, I wouldn't buy the tubular A arms since they don't change performance and weigh about the same as OE control arms.
You'll get a better price and better service by buying direct from VB. If you buy at a major show you'll get a discount and you can talk to the guys in person - very helpful.
