Super Chevy Sunday at my house
I had a chance to meet another forum member yesterday. Terry(TCTBBB) brought his Bronze 68 427/ Richmond 5speed car down to my home yesterday for some good old fashioned bench racing. Chuck stopped by a little later in the Z06 and then went home to get that quiet, mild mannered blue car ;) I thought I would share a few pics with the rest of you guys. If only my driveway could look this cool everyday......
And for the record, after riding in my brother in laws 70 LS5, Chuck's L-88 and Terry's 427 car, I now know that I've got to get a big block car one of these days. The sound and feel of those big blocks is simply awsome

That will be like me and my buddies, in 4 months. Oh, do I hate Michigan winters. I also live in the wrong state.
Got to think positive, look at all of the miles I keep off of the car!! Who am I fooling?

Very nice!! It must be difficult for Chuck to decide which one to drive! In the background of pic #1, what year is that Cadillac?? :) :) and what is that vehicle that appears to be the great great grandpa of the PT Cruiser? MJ

The "big dog" 6mpg caddy is a 72. That car was my wife's grandfathers car that none of her siblings wanted when he passed away. I made my father in law an offer he could not refuse and got it for the low low price of..............$0 It's ugly and looks like hell, but it's like driving from the comfort of my Living room sofa :D Believe it or not, it's only got 102k original miles and it's my daily beater.
The gray car is my 37 ******. It's been a work in progress for about 20 years, but it does run pretty good. 0-60 in about 3 sec   I'd post some pics, but I don't want to bog this thread down too much. There are some pics and info about that car on my forum home page. http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/tsw71/index3.shtml

Tom,
Thanks for posting the missing picture, but I gotta get better tires! Tom's small block was holding his own against me while all my power was going up in smoke. Because this is a residential neighborhood, we kept it below 100! Also we didn't want to give Tom's neighbors any negative thoughts about Tom's friends!
Next time we need about half a dozen more Vettes. Mr. Pacin must have been called away that day. He was missed, perhaps next time. It was very good to put a face to Terry and finally see his very well preserved big block that has been given more than a small dose of well done improvements: like the cam, 5 speed and functional cowl hood.

Awww! You're too sweet. :bb Just kidding, man.
Just think, I could have disco'd up the place with my "disco vette". :) Would have been fun, I've never ridden in a big-block vette before and probably would have been scared to death! (Well, only if you decided to see what those original tires could do in a corner, Chuck. :) ) Plenty of neat guys in the bay area around here. Give me some advance word the next time you guys are having a gathering, and I'll bring my grand tourer along.
Also, I'll load up my N80 with some good film and see what I can do about a photoshoot. Been having fun with my new camera, even if the forum guys think my work's junk. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=232577
Nice to see such beautiful chrome bumpers gathered so peacefully.

If there are any more Bay Area C3 guys that want to join us for some sort of local cruise or get-together, let me know and I'll tell you when we plan something.
