Default When was circuit board used for center gauges?

I have a couple of gauges that don't work in my center console. Also, before I bought my car, the guy replaced the speedo with a white faced gauge and now I've replaced the tach with a white faced one to work with my HEI dist. So, now that I'm needing to replace some of my other gauges, I'm considering just getting a set of white faced ones. Did they offer these without the circuit board? If so, what years. I know that for the oil pressure gauge, I'll need to add a sending unit. Are there other differences from the '69 gauges?

Thanks

OK, I have found some info that they started in '77. Can anybody with a '76 confirm that there are wires going to the center console gauges instead of a printed circuit board? If so, then I think I can start looking for a gauge cluster from a '75 or '76 model.

Printed circuits in the center console gauges started in 77. My friend's 76 is hard wired. tom
