@@#$%# Buffed through the clear coat.
Painting my own car has been a real learning experience. Everything has gone quite well until I went to buff it out with the 3M compound. I buffed through right at the tail light area. There is white K36 showing through. How can I repair this spot.
I was thinking I could mask it off real close and apply base coat to fill in and then clear coat. Open up the masked area and spray more clear. Then buff it all out again( with more care). Is that close??

If your going to redo..Do the entire panel..You will most likely see the blend if you do otherwise....Good luck
