Hey Guys. I'm going home in 4 weeks and I plan to do some work on my vette. I'm making a list of what I want to get and I was just wondering what the average delivery time parts were from Zip and Ecklers. I want them to be waiting for me when I get home, but I also want to do a little more thinking before I start buying things. Thanks.

I recently ordered from zip and got parts ground in about 5 days. Of course I selected slow boat delivery. I'm sure you can get them quicker if you pay extra for the shipping

Both have been pretty quick for me on delivery (if the parts are in stock). Zip has let me change parts on the fly. I have a 69, and more than once found out I ordered the wrong part (early versus late 69), and they have been very accomodating. I tend to go with Zip because they are a forum vendor as well.

Since I live within 50 miles of Ecklers, I usually receive ordered items in like 3 or 4 days max. I don't know about their speed in shipping to other states, but I would imagine no later than a week.

I've orderered from both places with excellent results. If you go ground transportation it's about 7 working days to the West Coast. 3 to 5 days by air to California.
I have had a ton of stuff shipped from both Ecklers and Zip... not all of it was exactly what I wanted... and each had excellent customer service people who made it right. We rip em all the time... We should give em credit when they back it up with good service. :cheers:

Thanks for the info guys. That gives me time to decide what I want. Hopefully I get all the right parts so I can play with my new toys over break.

The last two times I ordered from Zip I placed the order on Monday morning and the parts were there when I got home from work on Tuesday night. Great service. Craig :cheers:

I see you live in Pennsville, NJ, right on the "other side" of the Delaware Twin Span Bridge. I live in Harford County, MD....near Aberdeen Proving Grounds, probably 30 miles from you. If I order from ZIP before 12 noon, I get my "stuff" via UPS the next day. ZIP is located in the Richmond, VA area. Never dealt with Eckler's. Chuck

Never ordered from Ecklers, but Zip takes 5-7 working days to get to Northern Illinois. Of coarse it comes the overland UPS route. (Mule Train) :jester

I get credit card offers from Ecklers about once a month. I will never order another part from them. Any company that mis-uses the information that I give them loses my business forever.

One word of caution about Eckler's: If you place an order and it is more than one item, they will send you what they have in stock and put the rest on back order without giving you the option to go elswhere for the entire order. So you might end up with a complete exhaust system except for one muffler like happened to me once. It took two months and one muffler was still on B.O. Finally I canceled the B.O. and bought another muffler which didn't match the one from Eckler's. :mad
