2002 CARTEK Corvette Challenge ..... " Special " .....9th event .... " Tuners Race "
On 11-2-02 the 9th event of the 2002 Cartek Corvette Challenge will be run under these following rules......
A) To be eligible you only need to be signed up for the "Sunoco Points Series" ($30.00 one time fee) at Englishtown, NJ. Then you must declare what tuner you run under (ex: Cartek - Vette Doctors - MTI - Mallett - Lingenfelter - etc. ). You don't have to have had work done at the tuner yet, you just need to notify of who it is !! You can use only one tuner for the season, and all names must be submitted via e-mail to ... dkazimir@comcast.net ... before March 1, 2002.
B) Only the "Top 16 - Sunoco Points" cars which have declared a tuner (by the date above) will be eligible for the Tuner Race on 11-2-02. You can still be in the "Sunoco Points" without declaring a tuner, but for the "Tuner Race" will be for DECLARED points racers only. NO EXCEPTIONS !!!!!!!!!! Alternates will be selected in the same manner.
C) A MAX. of 8 cars from any one tuner will be allowed in the " Top 16 " for this race !!
D) The "Race" will be run as a BRACKET race and two qualifying runs will be made before the race to determine your position on the ladder for the first round. A 16 car NHRA ladder will be in effect ( #1 will race #16 - #2 will race #15 & so on ) There will be a breakout of .05 allowed but this will be your new dial in for the next round.
E) All cars must have proper NHRA safety equipment for the ET being run.
F) This will be a $20 Gamblers race ! All cars will put $20 in a pot that will be a "winner take all" purse !!
G) Final decisions will be at the discretion of the administration !
