Default Guess who's going full manual...

A friend of mine gave me the necessary parts to make my 700-R4 full manual shift. The TransGo shift kit includes all the pieces to make your transmission Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 or full manual. He had the pieces left over from his rebuild and gave 'em to me. :yesnod:

My first 700R4 was a full manual shift, which wasn't bad, but make sure, IF you let someone else drive it, like to get it inspected and such, they know it's full manual, otherwise they will do a number on the bands taking off in 4th.

Stingy:
Could you please explain a full manual shift to me? Is it like a manual valve body? BTW Stingy, I got you beat...mine's already a full manual shift ;)

FYI: Full manual shift sounds like something that would interest me if I was really into automatic transmissions.

I had that with my 700R4. Just remember (Things last longer when you let off of the gas to shift!) :smash:

Have you taught your girlfriend how to use the digital camera yet? :p:

I always used to shift manually anyway because when you put it in od from a light and floored it, it would shift at weird rpms. Can't remember, 5000 or something. Starting it in first allowed me only to shift.

Still working on the digital cam thing ;)

PS: It used to act like "Full Race Automatic" in the above picture.

gkull is right about the letting off, if I had done that more often, my spare parts bins would be less one transmission. One other thing I did was to toggle switch my lock up, which I liked, but there were a couple (bunch) of times at stop lights I had to re-start the motor after letting off the brake to accelerate
