Cracked inner wheel well by Body mount??????
While cleaning up the wheel wells in preperation for painting I noticed a crack about 3" long running upward by both rear body mounts(Where frame and body bolt together):confused: ....Is this a somewhat normal stress crack:confused: .....I read somewhere that it usualy cracks there when involved in an accident....But there is no sign of a previous accident....Panels all look original,,Body seams look the same all around the car and the body lines are perfect ..I had my bodyman look it all over again and his only guess is a stress crack..He insists that he would be able to tell if the car was hit before(He's been in the buisness for 30 yrs).......I repaired it with fiberglass mat from both sides..But it has me wondering....Anyone else seen this before???Any thoughts??Thank you :confused:
