Default To Wave or not? Plus brakes update

I think of most the forum members would agree that it takes a long time to perfect your car the way you like it. So anyway, I have to drive my dad's 87 Ford Ranger. So who cares right? Well I like to wave at all the corvette's that I pass becuase I myself own one. Unforunately I don't get any waves back. Do any of you guys wave? It's upsetting to see nobody wave, plus I get weird looks like I'm not worthy or something. If anyone sees a blue ranger with a 19yr old waving at them in Jersey send me a wave back. As for the brakes on the car, I've decieded to do the following: New master cylinder+power booster (suggested by members), New Sport Rotors(Vette Brakes), O-Ring rebuild kit+O-Ring pistons, Stainless Steel springs, Stainless Steel retaining pins, Stainless braided hoses, and new speed bleeders. Plus the old calipers are going to be sand blasted on the front like I did with the back. Then I'll hone them and reassemble. This will take care of the whole system. After this little rebuild I'll have rebuilt everything and replaced everything else in the entire system. If the brakes still heat up and fade on the highway I'm going to be mighty :mad . :D :D Only $750 from Vette Brakes

when I am in my minivan and see a vette I always want to wave but don't. I hardly get a wave when I am in the vette let alone a minivan.

The people that drive the new vettes around here hardly wave.

I waved at several Vettes yesterday while driving a friends Grand Am and i had a few wave back. Around here though you can pretty much wave at anyone and they will wave back. Especially people in pickup trucks. :seeya

I agree, I never get waves back from the newer vetts even while I'm driving mine.

Yeah, the newer Vette owners don't seem to wave much. I think that Chevy took the wave section out of the owner's manual in 2000.

Today's Wave Count (mutual): 1-C5, 1-C4, 1-Ford Pickup.

Did you paint the calipers?
You may want to consider that.
Mine looked (still look) horrible in just a few months.

yeah i'm going to paint the calipers. i haven't decided on the color yet. Maybe you guys can offer some suggestions. I already painted the rear ones black, maybe it's time for some cooler colors on the front?

I get more waves from people in non-Vette cars than I do from Vette drivers around here. Mostly little kids pointing out the back of their moms Suburban Assault Vehicle (SAV) and flashing a big smile that gets even bigger when you wave back at them. I think kids between 2-12 get the biggest kick out of seeing these old cars.
