Default What is the best method to remove old pin striping?

Have old pin stiping and a sb hood decal that is cracked, just the stick on decal. It looks terrible so would like to remove them. Also where is a good place to purchase the new replacement hood decal, similar to te black decal on the stinger hood but without the riser.

A heat gun or hair dryer will make the decal and pin stripping come right off. Ecklers should have the new decals

Used a hair dryer in the past. I also believe they sell a decal remover that might help but it might also harm the paint.

Go to your local paint and auto body supplier, and get a 3M pin stripe and decal eraser.

It is basically a large eraser disc that you put on a drill or similar device.
Unless you get VERY aggresive with it, they will not harm paint.

Just under $20 for the 3M, they may have an off brand for $10-$15.

Good Luck,

I know someone who used the aerosol decal remover. If your paint is good, it shouldn't hurt it. It didn't to my friends, and you can't even tell there was a decal there
