Who did the late model engine swap and the 6 spd?
I had seen a guy on here that had put a set up like in the title in his vette and I wanted to see how the car is coming along. Anyone know who I'm talking about?

I have a couple conversions listed in the http://www.corvettefaq.com engine section (LT1 and LS1) not sure which one you mean, but they are both linked from there if you want to see.

Ok call off the search! After entering about 50 possible names I found the guy I was talking about. It was 70 LS1. Wish I had bookmarked your site to begin with...
Terry thanks for the link, I had never run across that site before!

Rambler,
Someone needs to install on of the new big block Vortec engines in a vette. You should be the guy. That motor is huge. :smash: Also if 70 Ls1 get his completed, he will be the first. Maybe install a LS-6.

Somebody already has installed a BB Vortec in a C-5! There was a write up on it in one of the 'Vette mags. He left the stock computer and injectors on it and they said it performed great! A real torque monster. The pictures in the mag were impressive, it was hard to tell that it wasn't an LS-6 motor.

Re: Who did the late model engine swap and the 6 spd? (Budman78)
One day (think fairytale) I hope to do this sort of thing to a chrome bumber coupe...after telling my parents this plan they backed way out of the project and took the money with them....so I have to wait til I get my degree and a job... by that time the c6 (or c7 maybe, but i hope not) will be on the market and the engine from that might be even better than the ls-6... so in the mean time i am doing "research" on the subject and generally learning as much as possible about the intended project....
One day.... :seeya
