What sealant to use around fuel fill port?
Mine leaks when the tank is full and I can see it seeping around the port. I know RTV will disolve, so is there some sealant I can use or is there just supposed to be a gasket or something?

There is just supposed to be a gasket that goes between the filler neck and the tank. If I remember right, it's cork.

AC is right. The filler flange is easily removed with the screws around the perimeter. Be careful not to drop any screws into the tank.----and no I didn't drop any in there.:D
My gasket was so old I couldn't tell what it was made from. I replaced it with a hand cut version and neoprene type gasket material. You can use the old one as a template. :D

I have a fuel gauge that varies 1/4 tank as the fuel splashes around. I suppose I should replace that at the same time.
