MPG diff b/t 3.08 3.55 and 3.70
What would be the difference in gas mileage b/t those different gear ratios. I have 3.08 now and was looking to put in something new, but I dont want the gas cost to be too bad.

i did the same swap had 3.08 put 3.70 in with about the same converter too and i stayed the same if not i got better cause the 3.08 were ******* the motor down the 3.70 helped it move alot easier not pushing the gas down as much.just my oppinion..but when im on the highway forget about it i can watch the gas guage drop..its not a pretty site, but id never change back.

i thought about going to 3.70 gears myself.. i wasnt happy with the way 3.08s were cutting it.. but then i got the car back and put some good plugs in it and gave it a good clean grunt.. and she drives great.. has real good gas mileage and has a lot of go.. only problem is the valves are too small and its not making the power it should.. but I reccomend 3.55 gears..
