Default Head Bolt Cleaninig

I need to clean up the head bolts prior to reinstallation. How do I get the old sealant and other grunge off the head bolts?

The easy way would be to use a electric wire wheel then clean with brakleen.  :seeya .............

A wire wheel works fine. But if they are the original head bolts you should think about replacing them. They stretch, and after all these years and miles, it's a cheap enough replacement.
