Default Awesome Ride in a Dodge at Orlando Corvette Show...

Went over Friday to Walt Disney World Motor Speedway and did the $89 three lap "Winston Cup Qualifying Run" ride!!! Wild does'nt describe it enough!!! Got up to 138-142mph during the three lap ride. G-forces around the turns, the acceleration out of the pits just too much. What a great job too have!!!

I was down there a couple of years ago and wanted to try it but ran out of time. You can`t do everything in just a few days. Gotta get to one of those tracks one of these days and give it a go. Would love to go to Bristol. :smash:

I wanted to actually do the "Drive the Car" for eight laps for $349, but you had to be able to do the class on the safety features, operating the car, putting on fire suit, etc for minimum of three hours and I did'nt have that much time left. When you "drive" the car, you follow an instructor and he'll get up to about 125mph if you stay with him. If he sees you don't want to keep up and run say around 90mph, he'll back off his throttle and run that pace. His signal you want to go as fast as he is going is to stay three car lengths behind him!!! NO BUMPING!!!

My wife and I were in Vegas last fall and I did the Driving Experiance at LV Motor Speedway. I got to drive 8 laps in a WInston Cup car. The last lap was 135. You get a lap time sheet when you finish, my first lap was 119, second lap 121, third 125, you get the idea. It was a heck of a rush. The sound is incredible in those cars. The only thing that was not perfect is that they put me in a FORD. You do not get to choose you car. If you are ever close to Charlotte, Vegas, Orlando it is, IMHO, worth the time and money.

BAD69, Walt Disney World Speedway is just inside the Main Gate off of Rte 4 just past the info toll off to the left. Just follow the signs.

Also, as usual, no the pic was'nt included in the $89 price. I believe it was something like $10.50 or near that. Still an unforgetable ride!!! :yesnod:
