Not too bad on the low end either. Is this what you are planning on building? Looks like you would want to shift just past that HP peak depending on the RPM drop from gear to gear. Looks good. Can't wait till I can do something like that in my vette. Of course, the rear would need to be rebuilt first to handle all of that torque.

No problem, cutie-pie. Er. Jenny. :)
I've been told DD2000 lies a little bit on the low end, so if you've got an automatic in this car you'll probably want a higher-stall torque converter(~2500).
Comp Cams says 2800-6100 rpm powerband w/ that cam.

PS Actually, that's a cap of my screen. Lee Greenwood's somewhere in my playlist... right now Lifehouse is. :p:

Jenny,
I do not know what your intent towards usage is nor your gear and transmission but another combination of parts will make 430lbs + of torque @3500-490 HP @ 5700 rpm
Another will make 450 lbs torque @ 3700 and 525 HP @ 6200 RPM
These are mild cam combinations - more power available.
Depending on gears ect these will leave on the posted combo and will not be caught at the end of the 1/4 mile and idle @750 rpm

Jen
You have to think about the right converter & gears to match engine.

I loved your shifting technique... you know you really DO like manuals when you shift an automatic. :)
Well what really helped that curve is the heads+cam. The 210cc's seem to give a great top end. This cam is pretty agressive aswell. Should be fun
mmotor- got your IM.

That looks like an engine that would really want a manual tranny...is that what you have in mind? As for the cam, hydraulic roller? That might limit your shift point...from the graph, you'd want to shift at no less than 6500...you sure that'll be possible with your valvetrain?

to tell you the truth, i just took that cam as a suggestion. if you can think of a more suitable one, by all means frorward your reccomendation. Why would it matter what tranny is behind the motor. All that would be different is the shiftpoints right? So you're afraid i'd be out of the power curve? Im planning on going O/D. so the ratios' should be closer together.

Re: I found a powecurve i REALLY REALLY like!!! (Jenny)
Jenny,
You may want to rethink the 210 heads. I have the 195 heads and a smaller XR274R cam (solid roller). With the Dyno2000 setup as a "solid" cam, your HP curve does not overtake mine until 6000 RPM and then it is only by 2 HP (at 6500, the difference is 26 HP). But at 3000 RPM, mine has a torque advantage of 87 ft. lbs.
I'm not really sure what all of the settings were in DD, but I used 383, 10.4:1 compression, AFR 195 flow numbers, 800 cfm carb, single plane intake, CCXR274R-10 cam with the Lifter set to solid. I, personally would not be willing to give up 87 ft. lbs. of torque at 3000 RPM to gain 26 hp at 6500 RPM.
I also could not figure out how to make a jpg out of my DD info, so I can't provide that at this time.

Yeah, thats pretty much what I meant Jenny...not saying your setup is bad...just giving you thoughts about it. I wish I has DD to test some setups for you as I'm sure you could move that peek 500-1000RPM back and broaden the curve so that you keep peek power through your RPM range.

you need more compression with big cams. Something around 11 - 11.2. That was another reason I went with Dart heads over AFR. Dart has the smaller 64 cc chambers and when used in conjunction with flat top pistons and @ .040 quench area. You can get 11ish with very little milling.
I don't think you would be happy with a tight lobe center cam of that duration.
