Default Removing the outer bearing from rear spline

Does anyone have any tips onhow to do this. The shop shows a round, saucer-shape tool that is in two halves. This tool is placed on both sides o spline right where the race meets the spline. The bearing is then pressed loose. Can seem to find/fabricate this tool. Any other idea?

Any good automotive machine shop should have the tools and a press to do the job. :yesnod:

I take it you're talking about the rear spindle bearing? If so, there is a special puller made to do this much easier then a regular bearing separator. It runs about $125 from any of the catalog houses and does the job well. You might try and see if AutoZone has a big separator in their rental program, but I don't think it will work as well as the vette one.
