Default # of sandbags in the back?

For anyone who drives their C3 during the winter time, about how much weight/how many sandbags do you recommend putting in the back?

I would say that you don't need any sandbags in the back. Good weight distribution and limited slip should give you plenty of traction.

'63 up don't need sand, as suggested....however that brings to mind how I lost my first car, a '60 vette, the sand weight bags in the trunk spare tire well started stressing/breaking the fiberglass, so I took it out, and then the car was really tail assed light.....well a slippery nite it met a phone pole...about 35 years ago or so.....
