Is it just me, or does the interior look damn good? I mean, yeah, the body isn't much, but the interior looks rather cherry...

How much did it go for? This is one of the cars that was in the junkyard post yesterday. They lifted out of the middle of a 'vette slaughter-house in New York, with a crane.

Do you know how much it sold for, or have any details.
Looks like a steel bumper Big Block.
I get calls every week for these kinds of Vettes. People do not want to pay top dollar price, but want want a collectible Vettes at a restorable price.
There is a demand for these restorable Vettes.

Really? What was the name of the thread? I did not see how much it sold for. We weren't at the auction for long. Man, a TON of 66 and 67 big blocks went for WAAAYYY cheap. taling 20-30 thousand under what they should go for!

There were about 10, $4,000-$10,000 total nighmare cars there (which I would consider this one). Some bodies only, some interiors, some not power train. Man, you would def. be upside down, except for one or two of them

You know, I was there with all C5 owners and one C2 owner (my Vettefinders partner) and I was thinking how cool it would have been to have been there with some fellow C3 forum guys all interested in the same stuff and same cars.

I don't think that's a stock BB hood on that car. Look how high the lump is. I should know, I have one EXACTLY like it on my car, it's the red one in my sig pic. Its at the paint shop at the moment.
Are you sure it's a BB car?

We must have missed you in all the excitement, there were a couple of us who have known each other since the beginning of the forum and we were busy blabbing away about old times, we'll have to speak to that Mean Green guy about not telling you who the C3'ers were :jester We are going to try and make more of the Tampa get togethers in the future.

Yeah. Well, next time then I guess. We'll have to talk about that on the mailing list.

Rhys,
Did you see that never titled (?) Pace Car that sold for $18K at the auction? I was blown away that it sold so cheap. That car, at least from my vantage point, was perfect.

If it was a big block, I'd buy it--like lots of people, I've been looking for exactly that project. Though I'd rather find a vert.

I'd venture a guess that it is a 71 or 72 small block. Look at the tach and the redline. Also, no fiber optics. I don't know enough about the 70's steel bumper cars to call it, but someone should. :smash:
