wiper switch panel slot ?
Hi
Always wondered what this open slot underneath the CORVETTE sign of the center gauge wiper switch panel is for.
Should it be open or covered ?
Just can't see any reason for it on my 68 big block convertible.
Give me a hint.

On my car, there is a plastic duct from the ventilation system that comes through that hole and blows down toward the console.

OK, thanks.
No duct on my car.
I have all this apart to install my 68 radio and there is for sure no duct on my car. Also can't see where it would come from ?
Is it contsantly blowing, or can it be shut off with what levers.
I will keep it apart till I find more info to get correct.
Again, thanks a lot.

Yes, no AC ,
This was a original L71 car, 427/435 HP.
As far as I know, this option was not available with AC in 68.
