I replaced my cross gear and the cable is rotating, but the tach still sits at zero. Any ideas for me to check? Is there a gear in the back of the tach that could be broke/stripped?

Re: I have a Working tach Again!! (74-Roadster)
I had the tach in the '62 re-built in New Stanton, Pa. last Spring; it didn't work at all the whole summer of '00 after I had the ZZ4 installed. Saw an "opp" on rte. 376 (6 lane/3 each way) between Churchill and Monroeville to watch it go "roundy-round"...nothing in front of me, nothing behind; "kicked it" and was smooth sailing to 120mph. Then the wind musta caught under the windshield wipers, and they "popped up" (note to self: stash clean underwear somewhere in trunk for occasions like this ;) )
